Sadly, Google wasn’t so keen on keeping Nik Collection up to date and it ended up giving the plugins away for free. Nik Software was so good that Google eventually snapped the company up so it could get its hands on the excellent SnapSeed photo-editing app for smartphones. The Nik Collection plugins were launched 25 years ago and soon built a massive following from digital photographers who love their extensive range of special effects and the creativity that the Nik plugins provided.
